Most HSA Owners Contribute, But Few Max Out

Just over one-half (52 percent) of HSA owners contributed to their account in 2013, according to data collected by the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI). Only five percent, however, contributed the maximum of $6,450. On average, individuals who made contributions deposited $2,032 to their account.
